The Expat Fish

By Zhino Yousefi, Mehdi Farahani and Preeti Mahajan

The artist and collaborators all left their homelands for new horizons, share a bond rooted in their migration experiences.Through their installation, the team aimed to evoke emotions linked to their immigration journey. They likened their journey to that of a fish, nurtured under its mother's care and eventually venturing out to explore life independently. Along the way, the fish makes friends, creates new memories, and sometimes finds itself navigating the depths of uncertainty, all in pursuit of light and fresh opportunities. Their message revolves around experiencing life as it unfolds.
